Materials Needed:

- Child-sized brush
- Small box for collecting debris
- Red tape outline marking the ‘dust area’
- Colourful scrunched paper ‘dust’ bits
Presentation:
Begin by introducing the activity and demonstrating the complete sequence: show the child the paper bits in the taped rectangle area, demonstrate how to hold the dustpan and brush, sweep the paper bits into the dustpan, empty the dustpan into the box, then return all the paper bits back to the taped rectangle area. Invite the child to try the activity themselves, allowing them to work at their own pace. When finished, the child tidies up, returning the tray to its place on the shelf.
